A mandated under Presidential Decree No. 491 on the Nutrition Act of the Philippines. The Department of Education mandates that all schools should celebrate the yearly Nutrition Month. In line with this Diwa Elementary School celebrated Nutrition Month last July 25, 2014 with the theme “ Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan”
A short parade was conducted at 2:30 in the afternoon followed by a short program at 3:00 at the Conference Hall of Diwa Elementary School. This was participated by all grades such as Essay Writing Contest, Slogan Contest, Cooking Contest for mother and child, A-1 Child, Best Nutrition Hat and Quiz Bee. After the contest, awarding of certificate to all winners was done lead by our School Head Teacher Leovigildo E. Domingo Jr.
Nutrition Month celebration was truly a successful one.
