Pilar Integrated OFW Family Circle: One Year and Growing Strong

The Pilar Integrated OFW Family Circle headed by the diligent and pro-active Mrs. Imelda P. Desales celebrated its 1st year anniversary last January 24, 2015. They celebrated the occasion last February 12, 2015 to ensure that all the important people who have helped and supported their cause would be present.

The important persons beside the beloved members of the organization who graced the event were our ever-supportive and dynamic Mayor Alicia D. Pizarro,  Vice Mayor Marino H. Caguimbal, SB Member Fatima Enriquez, ABC Pres. Miguel Solomon, OWWA Program and Services Head Ms. Ma. Cristina Mallare , Mr. Renard Bartolome, the new OWWA Officer for Bataan, DOLE Field Officer Ms. Leilani Reynoso, and PESO Provincial Officer Mr. Ariel Masamoc. Our Municipal PESO Officer Mr. Mon Sinson was the master of the ceremonies and Ms. Jane Udtohan led the assembly in the opening prayers. Vice Pres. Fernando Escoto ended the event with his energizing closing remarks.

All the honorary guests congratulated Pilar Integrated OFW Family Circle for its first anniversary and wished that the organization will continue to grow stronger. They expressed their support to the organization encouraging them to visit their offices for any training and support they need especially about livelihood training. They were all impressed and happy to see how unified and dedicated the members of the organization are.

Pres. Imee Desales reported the current status of the organization. She mentioned the accomplishments and their plans for the year 2015. She expressed her gratitude to Mayor Pizarro for her continuous support to the organization. She was hoping and praying that the t-shirts for the upcoming town fiesta be awarded to Pilar Integrated OFW Family Circle to boost their T-Shirt Souvenir Project.  She also thanked  Vice Mayor Caguimbal, the Sangguniang Bayan, and the various LGU offices for their help and support to the organization.

She reiterated that all the organization’s  accomplishments will not be made possible without the help and support of all its members and officers who were all diligent and supportive even without monetary rewards or compensation.

A special dance number was presented by some officers and members of the organization after Pres. Desales’s report.

Mayor Pizarro congratulated the organization. She said that Pilar Integrated OFW Family Circle is one of her babies because it was formed during her term. She was happy that the organization’s programs and projects are aligned on the vision and mission of the municipality of Pilar especially in boosting the tourism industry and their battle cry “ANGAT, PILAR!”. She was overwhelmed on how far the group has come in terms of accomplishments and members.

Vice Mayor Caguimbal extended his wishes and happiness for the organization. He said he had seen how diligent and active the members and officers were to achieve the group’s goals. . He even joked not to replace the incumbent president.

Lastly, the 10 recipients for DOLE’s “Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay” were called for recognition although only 4 recipients were able to attend the recognition.
