Last May 3, 2015, right after the flag ceremony, employees of the Municipality of Pilar bear witness to the blessing of our new ambulance. Fr. Josue “Donnie” Enero, parish priest of the Nuestra Señora del Pilar, blessed the vehicle.
With the continuous support and concern of beloved Mayor Alicia D. Pizarro, the purchase of the new ambulance was made possible. The money used to buy it is from the General Fund of the municipality. This purchase is a good way to answer the need for faster health services for the constituents of Pilar. For cases when a patient needs to be transferred immediately to the hospital or for transfer to a specialty or tertiary hospital in another location, the ambulance is now available.
This additional new ambulance is very helpful especially to the less fortunate residents of the municipality who cannot afford expensive health services including renting an ambulance from private hospitals. This is only one of the many plans and projects of our dynamic mayor. With all the great plans in her agenda, surely, the Municipality of Pilar will go a long way in providing essential services to its constituents not only in economy, education, and tourism but as well as in health services crucial to the over-all good of the people of Pilar.
