Mr. Rico Val T. Bacuyag, LEO III of DOLE thru its Regional Director Atty. Ana C. Dione and Provincial Head Ms. Leilani M. Reynoso awarded P150,000.00 to Uyong Consumer Cooperative, a cooperative in Diwa, Pilar, Bataan managed by Mrs. Crisanta Villanueva as part of its livelihood program entitled Community Enterprise Development thru Enhancement of Consumer Store last May 25, 2015 during the Municipality of Pilar’s Flag Ceremony.
The dole out was intended to provide additional capital for the existing consumer store of Uyong Consumer Cooperative to improving its income by increasing its stocks. Beloved Mayor Alicia D. Pizarro who is always looking out for means to help improve the lives of Pilarians was very grateful for the blessing. She said that this could greatly help the cooperative to advance its consumer store business.
Cooperatives are valuable components in the economic progress of a town or city. With financial support such as this, Uyong Consumer Cooperative can improve its existing business and help its members in the long run.
