This year of 2015, the town of Pilar will begin celebrating its Fiesta in a newer and better way. Pilar will now hold its annual Kasinagan Festival. The term was coined from when the Spanish first landed foot at this town, then without them knowing the name of the place. With them was the image of Nuestra Senora del Pilar. They were asking the native of the town what the name of the place was but due to language barriers, they cannot understand them. In the end, they named the place after the lady. When they did, the crown of Our Lady was glowing in so much light. From the glow (sinag), the term “Kasinagan” will be used to symbolize Our Lady’s favor of our town, Pilar.

There will be twelve days of Novenario mass at the Nuestra Senora del Pilar Parish Church in Pilar, Bataan at 5:30 P.M. There will also be daily activities to celebrate this festive event. The schedule is as follows.
