The Municipality of Pilar’s students bagged Gold Medals during the recent CLARAA 2016 held in Malolos, Bulacan last February 7-12, 2016. The students who brought home the gold medals were Heinrich Ferrera and Celine Joy Sanchez from Panilao Elementary School, Morgana Bernardo from Pantingan Elementary School and Alexis Ember Inlong and Andrei Vladimir Tallorin from Pilar Elementary School.
Their diligent and supportive coaches were Mr. Henry Ferrera (PRNHS) and Ms. Dorothy Manansala (Panilao Elementary School). The proud principals are Ms. Perlie Baclig, Mr. Angel Licup, and Dr. Pauline Roxas. Dr. Jeolfa G. Reyes (Pilar District Supervisor) was very happy with what the students accomplished for the district.
The students and their coaches have been practicing and training for the CLRAA for many months. The coaches were very hard-working in ensuring that the young athletes are ready for the sports event. The Division of Bataan won second place next to Bulacan in the said event. Considering that our province is small compared to other provinces, this is a great honor for our province. As for our small town of Pilar, being able to contribute gold medals for the entire team is indeed a great honor.
