Food Processing Training at Nagwaling: Helping Shape Better Future to Pilar’s Out of School Youths

Pilar, Bataan – Last May 27, 2016, a Food Processing Training was started at Nagwaling, Pilar, Bataan. The training is being held at the Bagsakan in the said barangay. The participants are 56 Out of School Youths from the various barangays of Pilar. Helping out with the project are RIC, Kabalikat, and KALIPI spearheaded by Municipality of Pilar’s PESO Office headed by Mr. Solomon Sinson with the untiring support of our very diligent and pro-active Mayor Alicia D. Pizarro.

The trainees will receive a daily allowance of P60.00 in addition to the opportunity of learning food technology processes without any cost to them. Even the materials and equipment to be used will be shouldered by the Municipality under the BUB project.

The training is part of TESDA’s various livelihood trainings with Ms. Pascua of Fisheries conducting and teaching the participants. The training will last for 10 days and will be held during the weekends.
