Pilar, Bataan – The Municipality of Pilar spearheaded by our dynamic Mayor Alicia D. Pizarro who is very keen in ensuring that pupils of this town get the best quality of education distributed school supplies to 2,000 pupils in all public elementary school last June 15, 2016. The school supplies distributed were pencils, pencil cases, rulers, pairs of scissors, and crayons all packed inside a school bag.
Now on its third year, the distribution of school supplies and bags is a project of the Municipal Council for the Welfare of Children. Our beloved mayor has been tapping Mr. William Lim, her friend, to support this project.
The principals and school heads of the various public elementary schools in Pilar helped in choosing the rightful recipients, the poorest of the poor pupils to receive the school supplies.
Mayor Alice was accompanied by Dr. Jeolfa Reyes, Pilar District Supervisor, Ms. Jenny Lee Casin from the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office, and PO1 Maan Calma of the Women and Children Protection Desk of the PNP during the distribution in the different schools.
Mayor Alice looks forward to helping the pupils more not only with school supplies but in other ways that they can enjoy school better, learn more, and have the best educational facilities and activities they can get their hands into.
