Parada ng Bayan and La Torre

Last October 11, 2016, Mayor Alice Pizarro, together with GM Charlie Pizarro, Vice Mayor Mar Caguimbal, SB Members, Municipal Department Heads, municipal employees, barangay captains and barangay officials cheerfully performed the Unity Dance throughout the parade showing to the Pilarians, oneness of the officials. Other groups such as Riders Support Group Inc. (RSG), Pablo Roman High School teachers, Reformists, and Responsible Parenting Movement (RPM) also joined the parade.

The parade began from the Municipal Hall to Brgy. Bantan Munti, and then to Our Lady of the Pillar Parish Church for the annual La Torre celebration.

Mayor Alice Pizarro greeted everyone cheerfully despite the long walk. “Happy fiesta po sa ating lahat, at ipagpatuloy lang po natin ang pag-angat ng Pilar”, Mayor Alice said.

The first part of the event was the Band Competition wherein each group will be scored base on the originality and form of music they will perform. The first performer is the San Agustin Band, Brgy. Bagumbayan. Next was Nuestra Señora Del Pilar (Brgy. Poblacion and Del Rosario). Then Banda Dos Cosamin (Brgy. Burgos). This was followed by Castillo Marching Band (Brgy. Wakas South). And Banda Padilla (Brgy. Rizal). Lastly, William Band (Brgy. Wakas North). 

After the Band Competition, the next part of the event was the Majorette Competition which showcased group exhibitions.
For the Special Awards, the Most Disciplined Band is Nuestra Señora Del Pilar Band (Brgy. Poblacion & Rizal). For the Best Band Leader is also Nuestra Señora Del Pilar Band (Brgy. Poblacion & Rizal). Lastly, the Best Performance by Majorette is San Agustin Band (Brgy. Bagumbayan).

For the Major Awards, the 2nd Runner Up is William Band (Brgy. Wakas North). And for the 1st Runner Up is Banda Padilla (Brgy. Rizal). Lastly, the Champion is Nuestra Señora Del Pilar Band (Brgy. Poblacion & Rizal).
