Service Excellence in the Tourism Industry

As part of attaining our vision to be the Historical-Cultural Tourism Center of Luzon by 2020, last August 10, the Municipality of Pilar conducted a seminar entitled "Service Excellence in the Tourism Industry" with speaker Mr. Henry Pingol.

Hon. Cecilia Garcia gave the opening remarks and was followed by Ms. Aila Mariano who introduced the speaker.

Mr. Pingol discussed 4 major points to the participants. First, what is customer service. Second, who are our customers. Third, what are the traits of a good service provider. And lastly, how will I make my customers happy.

Also discussed were the good and bad service experience that we can give to our customers. And the ten deadly sins in customer service. As part of the group work Mr. Pingol asked the groups what they've learned, one of the groups said that, "If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail".
