As part of the learning and growth perspective, educating and informing the municipal employees about history and culture is one of the initiatives towards the attainment of our vision. The 1st Usapang Kasaysayan was conducted last August 7 at the SB Session Hall.
Mayor Alice Pizarro gave the opening remarks and said, "Ito ang unang hakbang para sa pagpapakilala ng mayamang kasaysayan at kultura ng ating bayan." The speaker Mr. Rizaldy "Bong" Mamuad discussed the role of Bataan during the World War II. He also mentioned the "Bataan Matamis" which was a well-known cigarette during those times. Also mentioned was the Pantingan Massacre where those who surrendered late were killed at the river turning it red due to the bloody massacre.
