MSGC believe that governance is a shared responsibility that any help extend to the Municipality was a help extended in the community to make Pilar a town beyond better through the different effort, project and other activities that will achieve its vision. The MSGC responsibility to the community is to shape the understanding of the community the importance of shared responsibility and become an instrument of the LGU to attract potential partner in fulfilling its vision.

Last March 17, Akbay Pilar (MSGC-Pilar) held a walk for a cause promoting our clean and green town. The event began with a prayer led by Mr Renato Sangalang, followed by welcoming remarks from Dr. Bernadeth Gabor. Mayor Alice Pizarro graced the event and gave a wonderful inspirational message, highlighting the importance of working together towards the attainment of our vision which also includes taking good care of our environment.

As the Chairman of Akbay Pilar, Ms. Ma Salome Inlong thanked everyone present during the event and especially our very supportive chief executive, Mayor Alice Pizarro, our barangay captains and of course, the MSGC members. Engr, Aida Solomon followed this thanksgiving with the introduction of the MSGC Members. Engr. Benjamin Alamani reminded everyone to stay hydrated during the long walk and also informed the audience that there are medics available in case needed.

In showcasing a certain place to become a historical cultural tourism center begins with the corresponding environment and habitat of the community. That is the reason the group believe in this project in helping out different barangay in the greenery and beautification of their barangay, therefore keeping our municipality clean and green!
