Mayor Pizarro urges Pilar folk to participate in governance

Pilar, Bataan Believing they could play a major in turning the town around, neophyte Mayor Alicia D. Pizarro urged her constituents in this fast developing town in Bataan to participate in their governance even as she cites her accomplishments in the first 100 days of office.

    In her State of the Municipality Address (SOMA), Mayor Pizarro reported to her constituents that a lot of things had been achieved and that some more projects and programs are on the pipeline and are ready for implementation in the coming days.

    Citing five aspects in good governance, the lady Mayor stressed that she gives value to their opnions, observations and recommendation from her constituents in what she called a “shared responsibility.”

    “Nagpapasalamat po ako at kayo po ay dumalo at tayo po ay nandirito hindi lamang po para makinig, inaanyayahan kop o ang lahat na tayo po ay magparticipate o makiisa sa panunungkulan, pagbibigay ng solusyon sa mga problemang kinakaharap n gating bayan. Handa po kami at bukas po kami para sa pakikipag-dayalogo sa inyo para po makapagbigay din kayo ng solusyon o opinion para po sa ikabubuti n gating mga kababayan. Kaya nga po mayroon tayong “shared responsibility” para po sa ikatatagumpay at ikakaaangat pa ng bayan ng Pilar,” pointed out Pizarro.

    The lady mayor reported a lot of infrastructures had been initiated such as the elementary schools in Bagumbayan, Balut, Sta. Rosa, Wakas, amomg others that were funded from Local School board.

    On health programs, she said that a total of 251 youth were given immunization, while hundreds were also provided free laboratory examination with blood count, urinalysis, pre and post natal care, assisted 312 breastfeeding, among others.

    Wife of former mayor Charlie Pizarro, the lady mayor said some 2,000 were beneficiaries from Philhealth while the peace and order situation of the town was greatly improved with the all-out campaign by Sr. Inspector Dennis Orbista, chief of police, and his men against all forms of criminalities and illegal drugs.

    As to the tourism program, she said that a lot of improvement had been done in Dunsulan Falls, Mt. Samat, Zipline, Tree hopping adventure, and other tourism attractions being Pilar town is rich in tourism sites.

    She called other investors to invest in her town and in Government tourism Center.
