Pilar town to build “breath-taking” Tree Hopping Adventure

Mt. Samat, Pilar, Bataan – After constructing the Zip line, Mayor Alice Pizarro is now rushing the building of the Tree Hopping along the historic Mt.Samat, adding tourism attraction in this strategic town.

Compared to other sport existing facilities, the Tree Hopping Adventure here is not actually an ordinary one since it is a seven-stage recreational or functional activity consisting of ascending and moving around in the crown of giant trees along Mt.Samat’s virgin forest where the player can get a glimpse on the sky rise buildings of Metro Manila, the sprawling Manila Bay, and the coastal areas of Pampanga and Bulacan.

Municipal Engineer Hazel de Guzman said the seven functions of the Tree Hopping are the Hanging Stairs – a 7-meter long and 12-feet meter high from the ground; Elvis Dangle – a walking with ropes; Monkey Bridge – a walking with cable; Surf Ziple – a 35-meter long walk from the flat form; King Swing – walk from 0ne flat form to another; Hanging Bridge – playing along 17-meter length rope but 15-meters high; and the breath-tking rappel down.

Pizarro said, players are required to use rope, helmet and harnessto ensure the safety of climbers.
Other operators require their climbers to use other equipment depending on their experience and skills, such as hammocks called called “Treeboats” or “Portaledges” into the tree canopies where they can enjoy a picnic or nap.

The Lady Mayor expressed optimism that the players of the Tree Hopping can experience the joy and wonders of seeing the world particularly the town of Pilar and the province of Bataan from the heights of the treetops.
