The Municipality of Pilar inaugurates its OTOP Pasalubong Center in Diwa, Pilar, Bataan last November 27, 2015 at 1:00PM. The center is located right at the foot of the historic Mt. Samat.
The dynamic Mayor Alicia D. Pizarro stated that this is a dream come true as the Pasalubong Center is a wonderful opportunity to showcase products of Bataan and is a means to realize the Municipality’s vision to be the preferred location for agro-tourism industry.
The Department of Trade and Industry headed by Ms. Nelin Cabahug graced the event along with Ms. Genina Ednalino, in-charge of the project. Also present was Ms. Pamela Santos, president of Bataan Association of Food and Non-Food Manufacturers Inc. (BAFNOFMAI).
Boardmember Gaudencio Ferrer, representative of Gov. Abet Garcia, in his short message congratulated Mayor Pizarro and the Pilarians. He said that Mayor Pizarro did a great job to include not only the products of Pilar at the OTOP Pasalubong Center but also, other Bataan products.
Ms. Ma Teresa Robles, owner of McBombeth Flower Shop represented Madam Vicky Garcia. She also congratulated Pilar’s creative Mayor to come up with ideas that lead to the betterment of this town.
Other guests who were present in the event were the SB Members, Department Heads, LGUs, Tourism Coordinator, barangay captains, and representatives from the Provincial Tourism Office.
