On May 20, 2024, the inauguration and turnover ceremony for a new patrol vehicle, funded by the 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF), took place at the Pilar Municipal Covered Court. The event was attended by Mayor Carlos F. Pizarro, Jr., Vice Mayor Cecilia R. Garcia, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and LGU functionaries. Also present were MLGOO Annie E. Hipolito of Pilar, the DILG Bataan LGSF Monitoring Team, representatives from the DILG Regional Office 3, and Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V. Fr. Felizardo D. Sevilla officiated the blessing of the patrol vehicle along with four motorcycle patrols funded by the municipal government of Pilar.
This patrol vehicle will enhance our local force's efficiency and rapid response capabilities. Mayor Pizarro, Jr. expressed gratitude to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for their support, emphasizing the importance of the SGLGIF in improving community safety.
The symbolic handover of the vehicle keys from PD Herman, representing the DILG, to Mayor Pizarro, Jr. marked the official turnover. This new asset is expected to significantly boost local law enforcement efforts, ensuring a safer community for all.
