This school year’s National Schools Maintenance Week or Brigada Eskwela with the theme “Ensuring Disaster-Preparedness and Safety in School” that will build resiliency of schools to both natural and man-made disasters had been successfully implemented in this institution. Simultaneously slated with the school’s enrolment week on May 19 to 24, this “bayanihan sa paaralan” activity engaged numbers of volunteers from public and private sectors. Aimed to prepare the school before classes start on June, education stakeholders voluntarily cleaned the school surroundings and repaired rooms and some furniture and equipment. Minor plumbing and electrical activities were also conducted. Clearing of the ground was also observed. Classrooms were restructured and repainted. School lunch counter floor was partly tiled and the ceiling was installed. All these tasks were pushed through in parallel of the focus of Brigada Eskwela.
