Municipality of Pilar Helping Disadvantaged Workers Thru the TUPAD Program

 

Pilar, Bataan - The “Tulong Panghanap-Buhay Para sa Disadvantaged Workers”(TUPAD), an equity to the BUB Project 2016 was concluded with a short ceremony of distributing the compensation of the TUPAD workers last June 8, 2016, 8:00AM at the Municipal Covered Court, Pilar, Bataan.

Present at the brief but fruitful ceremony were Ms. Leilani Reynoso, the Provincial Director of DOLE, our beloved and supportive Mayor Alice D. Pizarro, and PESO Coordinator, Mr. Solomon Sinson and the PESO staff. Ms. Reynoso congratulated the 123 workers from the 15 different barangays of Pilar who worked for 10 days cleaning open canals and the coastal areas of the municipality. They were compensated with P364.00/day for 10 days. She encouraged them to keep the surroundings of the town clean everyday.

Mayor Alice Pizarro thanked the workers for doing their best in cleaning the surroundings of Pilar. She asked them to also look after their own homes and garden and keep them clean as part of the advocacy to keep Pilar clean and green.

The TUPAD workers were happy to serve the town with their services.
