HEALTH UPDATE (OCTOBER 2014): Brgy. Sta Rosa Bags First Place Award in Street Dancing 2014

The annual Street Dancing Competition was held on October 8, 2014 with this year’s theme of a Bountiful Harvest. Six barangays joined the event which included Brgy. Nagwaling, Balut II, Sta. Rosa, Bantan Munti-Wakas South (as one group) and Alauli. Criteria for judging included execution of concept, choreography, timing and coordination and costume. The panel of judges was composed of Mrs. Elenita Dador (Retired Education Program Supervisor of Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health), Dr. Jeolfa Reyes (Pilar District Supervisor) and Mrs. Sharon Nelmeda (Dance Specialist from Pablo Roman National High School). Brgy. Sta Rosa emerged as the overall champion followed by Brgy. Bantan Munti-Wakas South and Brgy. Alauli as second and third placer respectively. Each group used bold and festive colors in their costumes with props showcasing the agricultural production in the municipality. This activity was made possible thru the efforts of the municipal employees and barangay officials under the leadership of Hon. Alice D. Pizarro.
